  • Exciting career opportunity with a fast growing cyber security company
  • Rewarding remuneration package with excellent benefits
  • Feel empowered to make a difference while having fun along the way

About the company

With cybercrime predicted to cost businesses $2.1 trillion by 2019, it has become an ever-present boardroom conversation with focus and attention to address the issue. InfoTrust helps secure organisations from cybercrime and improve business productivity through the optimum use of technology.

Founded in 2014, InfoTrust has rapidly expanded and received multiple awards in the process. You will be joining a winning team and opportunities for personal growth will be present for the right candidate.

We are focussed on two things, delivering "customer love" and creating an innovative, high performing and exceptional work environment for our employees. We recognise that rewarding and acknowledging our employees hard work is paramount to our success.

As well as offering a fantastic team culture, we provide additional benefits such as medical insurance, Friday afternoon social events and the occasional table tennis competition. In delivering those values, our goal is to be the leader in cyber security globally.

About the role

Joining the InfoTrust Cyber Defence team as our Sydney Sales Engineer, you will be responsible technically supporting our Sales Executives as they both; initiate new customer relationships and ensure long term customer success. Your role will be to "own the relationship" with respect to any technical demonstrations or customer questions, whilst delivering "Proof of Value" events and customer technology reviews. Our customer success depends on deep customer relationships with multiple staff members and your role in fostering these contacts and expanding our contact base will be critical.

Customers include some of the largest and most well-known brands in Australia. Duties include understanding the customer's business objectives, establishing criteria to successfully achieve these outcomes, resolving technical issues during the deployment phase and removing obstacles.

Your success will depend upon your technical proficiency as well as the ability to manage our customers through the sales cycle and to articulate the value of InfoTrust solutions. This position requires the best of technical support and account management expertise.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Own the customer relationship and ensure their success as part of the sales cycle.
  • Own the sales enablement training to ensure our sales team is at the cutting edge of our product portfolio.
  • Prepare responses to customer tenders, RFIs, etc.
  • Deliver technical product overviews and product update presentations to our customers.
  • Be adaptable and responsive to the Sales Team needs and available to travel at short notice.
  • Be comfortable to be "dropped in" to customer meetings at short notice.
  • Understand and clearly communicate the customer's business objectives.
  • Respond to issues and proactively communicate with customers to ensure success.
  • Assist the customer in creating a plan with appropriate resource allocation and project milestones.
  • Managing client expectations and escalating issues to appropriate levels of management.
  • Providing customer insights into their environment and ways to optimise their security posture.
  • Create knowledge resources to assist in exceptional customer success.
  •  Provide customer feedback on product enhancements and strategy to enhance the overall customer experience.

Benefits and perks

Our team love working with us because we offer a technically exciting, innovative and dynamic company that has strong vision and direction, but offers an environment that is collaborative, fun and rewarding. There are many perks of working here that include;

  • A fantastic team culture
  • Health Insurance benefits
  • Food amenities for breakfast and lunch
  • Community focused and socially responsible
  • Health and wellbeing programs
  • Games room with ping pong table for tournaments
  • An active rewards and recognition program
  • An experienced leadership team that is focused on supporting and coaching
  • Supported career development and training opportunities
  • Flexible working opportunities

To be successful in the role:

  • Adaptable and Customer Centric
  • Your communications and written skills need to be exceptional.
  • A working knowledge of the SMTP protocol, message headers, DNS, Domain reputation services and standards, general security standards (Such as ISO 2700x or NIST) as well as
  • Exposure to cloud security technologies, Security Operations, Big Data & Security Analytics, SIEM, and other current security technology controls will all be considered a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in email authentication technologies SPF, DKIM, and DMARC is also preferable.
  • Excellent problem solving skills required
  • Technical Account Management acumen
  • A minimum 4 years experience as a Sales Engineer or similar is required.

You love to understand technology and getting very hands on, but also are keen to gain an understanding of talking about the business outcomes and drivers, not just tech-talk. You will fully utilise your expertise across a multitude of areas in network and security.

You understand the importance of customer service and the importance of owning a project for clients until completion. Experience in preparing solution design documents, project plans, SOW's and solution proposals is preferred but not essential.

You will ideally have, or be preparing for, certifications in Security (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC) and be active in continually maintaining security knowledge via networking, forums, groups, blogs and personal study.
