Operating since the late nineties this client is a technology provider for software testing and software quality assurance to over 300 customers globally. They cross industries within Banking, Insurance, Fin Services, Tech, Telecom, Retail, Healthcare, Utilities and Public Sector.
As an Automation Engineer you are integral to our clients APIs, you interface between their customers and the product engineering team. You will work primarily in a customer facing environment and must be comfortable, credible and display excellent communication skills in order to be a success. You'll work with new customers to help them with their initial start. You'll leverage Tosca's APIs and your skills in C# to integrate it tightly with other software to provide a seamless user experience for their customers. You will also train other developers in their customer's teams to transfer essential API knowledge to them.
Primarily you will need solid object oriented programming skills in C#, an analytical mind and a natural curiosity and inquisitiveness for asking the right questions.
You will:
- Automate test cases for various different technologies and customers
- Extend Tosca’s object recognition (Customizing) as part of client deployments
- Integrat their software solution with other 3rd party applications as part of client deployments
- Configure server and client components of Tosca
- Develop, rollout and deploy automation
- Provide product training and best practices to their clients
- Develop creative solutions for complex problems in limited time
- Provide estimations and feasibility assessments
- Work directly for their clients from on and off-site
- Mentor and coach new hires
You'll need:
- B.S./M.S. in computer science or software engineering
- 2+ years professional experience as a software engineer/developer
- Solid object oriented programming skills in either C# or Java
- Experience with different development frameworks (e.g. MS .Net, …)
- Experience in technical solution architecture
- To stay calm under pressure
- To be communicative with excellent presentation skills and a consultative attitude
- Strong analytical skills (debugging, tinkering)
- To be willing to travel on a regular basis (~50%)
- Experience in IT consulting and/or implementation/deployment of commercial software for customers is a plus
- Experience in software quality assurance and testing - particularly test automation is a plus
