The Role
We are recruiting for the position of Systems Administrator in the Systems Analysis Laboratory (SAL) in Phantom Works International (PW-I), Brisbane.
Boeing Phantom Works International (PW-I) delivers the region's most sophisticated decision support, concept development and technology prototyping capability providing advanced operations analysis, modelling, simulation and Defence experimentation and development services for Boeing projects and customers worldwide.
This position is charged with providing information and communication technology (ICT) support to local and remote computer, network hardware, software and audio/visual systems. This role also includes identification and resolution of system and network performance issues and faults, software and hardware installations, modifications and reconfigurations; verification of system performance and availability, as well as repairing, calibrating and/or replacing faulty equipment.
About You
To be successful in the position you will enjoy working with unique systems and providing high quality ICT services to our customers. You may possess some or all of the following ICT skills and experiences:
- Level 2 and 3 support of LINUX operating system (e.g. RHEL, Centos)
- Excellent working knowledge of Windows Server Operating systems and client environments
- Excellent knowledge of network storage and data solutions
- Basic understanding of ICT automation tools and scripting systems configurations
- Basic understanding of audio/visual technologies and networking systems such as video streaming and telephony
- Understanding of networking and infrastructure skills such as knowledge around DHCP, DNS, and/or LDAP
- Excellent ICT troubleshooting and decision making skills
- Suitably qualified with tertiary or technical qualifications in Electronics or Communications Engineering, Information or Computer Technology would be highly regarded
You will also have effective interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to use initiative, prioritise and work to tight timeframes and excellent analytical and report writing skills.

Security Clearance: You will be required to successfully undergo the Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2 security clearance process. Therefore, you MUST be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and MUST have the ability to verify your background for a minimum of ten years.
