About the Role
This position is newly created to further enhance the contribution of our business analytics team. If successful, you will be responsible for developing and modifying dashboards and reports in line with business requirements.
This will include maintaining the data integrity of BI systems (ETL and reporting schedules) and proactively providing solutions that enhance data driven decision to cross-functional business teams.
You will ensure Cognos is fully utilised to its maximum potential in line with information and reporting requests and evaluate and improve existing reports to ensure data integrity with detailed review.
You will also coach and mentor users to enhance end user capabilities and assist with system upgrade.
What will you bring to the role?
- Degree qualified within IT or related discipline or equivalent
- Proven experience in Cognos and visualisation products (preferably Cognos Workspace)
- Advanced SQL skill is a must
- Understanding of data warehousing and experience of various systems (e.g. Microsoft BI Stack, SQL Server, Pronto Xi ERP) will be highly advantageous
- Good skills with MS Excel and VBA will be a plus
- Successful relationship management and customer support skills
- Excellent time management and organisational capabilities
- Initiative to challenge current processes and learn new technologies to support continuous improvement
