Established 10 years ago, the company is led by a team of business professionals with extensive international experience in offline and Internet-based travel as well as consumer marketing. An expert customer service team ensures the customer experience is second to none.

With an IT/Development team based in Bangkok, we’re looking for someone to provide IT Help Desk/Support for about 15-20 hours/week to the Sydney office, which is the ‘engine room’ of the global business.

Your new role

Put simply, your job will be to keep the wheels turning!

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of computers and other office infrastructure in the Sydney office – e.g. Patching and updating computers, Ensuring network configurations are secure and optimal, Setting up new users, Installing new software
  • Ensure a secure computing environment in the Sydney office – e.g. Ensure network segregation between business systems and personal systems
  • Proactively manage change/ office relocation
  • Train and educate users on the best way to use their computing tools
  • Troubleshoot user issues, specifically those that hamper or slow productive work
  • Setup, maintain, and troubleshoot communications equipment – e.g. Ensure smooth video communications and meetings between Sydney and Bangkok office, Enable effective video/phone conferencing with other parties and CS users at home
About you

In keeping with the entrepreneurial spirit of the organisation, we’re looking for someone who doesn’t just have the technical skills and experience but also has a genuine desire to be part of something relatively new and exciting and is OK with flexible work hours.
  
You may already have a stable of ‘clients’ as an IT consultant or you may be looking for flexible hours to fit in with University studies or family commitments.
  
It’s likely that you’ll be able to demonstrate:
  • University/TAFE qualification in IT Support related discipline
  • Previous IT Help Desk/Support experience in a commercial environment
  • Experience working in a Microsoft Windows environment and with Skype and Google Accounts
  • A reasonable understanding of networking and concepts like network partitioning, VPN and firewalls
  • Experience in relocating an IT infrastructure
  • Experience in educating others in the best use of computing tools
  • High level of initiative, attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Experience in the travel industry an advantage but certainly not essential
