Technical Implementation Manager (Data Centre)

• 6 Month Contract (24 month program of work)
• Sydney OR Melbourne Based
• Baseline Clearance preferred, not essential

Green Light are looking for an Implementation Manager to join our project delivery team in Sydney. Working with a national systems integrator you will assist in consolidating and transforming many of our clients data centres across the ANZ Region. This program is consolidating existing data centres running with high costs and older technologies into next generation or selected data centres.

The Technical Implementation Manager is responsible for project implementation plans. You will interact with Technical resources and Project Management resources to build and manage a forward schedule of change for the program.

Responsibilities:

• Implements accepted technical solution.
• Develops detailed migration implementation plans while ensuring implementation plans are aligned to the approved solution.
• Develops and ensures acceptance of the client migration entry and exit criteria
• Implements approved implementation plans
• Develops and leads Proof of Concept scenarios and cold boot readiness tests and activities
• Develops rollback plans in conjunction with implementation plans
• Builds and manages a forward schedule of change
• Provide support to project managers to qualify readiness for transition and operation of the solution post implementation for large complex changes

Skills / Experience

• Experience with Data Centres and/or Data Centre Migrations
• Experience with large complex infrastructure and/or application relocation projects
• Prior experience in a Client Facing role
• In depth experience across multiple tiers of the Technical landscape 
• Ability to work with conflicting goals and competing priorities
• Ability to manage and lead a diverse project implementation team
• Experience in multi vendor environments including 3rd party service providers
• Experience with distributed and leveraged delivery models

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks
• Experience in the Government, Financial and/or Telecommunications industries

Special Requirements:

• Australian citizenship and an existing Federal Government Security clearance, or the ability to obtain this clearance
• Some out of hours work and travel may be required
