Currently looking for an API integration Architect for a 6 month contract based in the Sydney CBD.

Capabilities / skills needed for this role:

• 10+ years’ experience as an integration architect and 5+ years of experience on one of the leading API management platforms Apigee/Axway/ Mulesoft
• Hands-on integration development experience with one of the following: Apigee, Mulesoft or other solutions (e.g., Spring/Springboot framework, IBM, Oracle Fusion, TIBCO, Dell Boomi, SoftwareAG)

• Deep experience with solution architecture, working specifically with full stack solutions (.net, MEAN etc.), RESTful services, and large legacy application portfolios, in both monolithic and micro-services contexts.
• Working knowledge of API security certification, authentication, authorization, IP security setup, and end point configuration
• Must have experience with design, development and deployment of SOA and API integration based architecture for a large organization leveraging multiple Business applications.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively implement solutions within a diverse technical teams, SIs, contractors, and cross work stream teams
• Proficient in both Agile and waterfall methodologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with project teams in designing the approach for API-led integration/middleware projects, setting technical directions, estimating/planning and directing developers.
• Liaising and working effectively with enterprise architects, IT program managers and technical teams to build new and enhance existing business applications and facilitate solutions to meet business requirements.
• Contribute in architecting technical solutions for enterprise systems using API Management Platform - Apigee to drive the value and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.
• Work collaboratively and provide thought leadership and guidance to stakeholders.
