A technical support 1 month contract with a large government department in Brisbane CBD

Your new company
Large government department based in the CBD - you need to deliver high quality technical support to government and external customers for many of this department’s land and spatial systems and services. The key projects in the next 6 months include supporting the decommissioning of the electronic timesheet system and implementation of a new call logging system.

Your new role
You'll need to provide technical support for a range of land and spatial external and internal systems and
services.

• Act as first point of contact for enquiries logging problems, requests and questions.
• Undertake initial assessments by following the wiki knowledge base and procedures and utilising
your knowledge of land and spatial systems and services.
• Wherever possible educate the customer with the objective of resolving the customers’ request
and reducing recurring calls.
• Share learnings with the group and provide input to the knowledge base (wiki).
• Liaise with customers and branch team members to provide status updates and feedback.
• Contribute to the daily conversation around business improvement.

You need to show familiarity and confidence in use of core office software applications and
technology used in their role.
