Leading local government agency based in the Sydney CBD is seeking the services of a skilled and knowledgeable BI Data Analyst for the delivery of a number of BI and Data Analysis initiatives across the various business units. This may include data analysis, reporting, business insight discovery, data visualisation
The Business Intelligence Data Analyst will lead stakeholder engagement sessions and workshops, ensure alignment with local government standards and processes.Verify the look and feel of testing output to ensure it meets the requirements of the business. You will also assist in documentation of solutions and develop user documentation and training material.
The BI Data Analyst will be required to identify opportunities to improve analytics capabilities and improve processes and performance. You will convey clear requirements to the technical teams within the agency
- Data Analyst
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with design, development and implementation Power BI reports
- Experience of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
- General data model experience with design and development
- Database design, development and modelling in SQL Server & data visualisation through Power BI M query and DAX
- Experience with Business Object/Crystal report designer
- Knowledge and capability transfer to both technical and business areas to ensure product sustainability
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in conducting workshops with business users and working effectively in a team environment
- Presentation and training skills
