About the business
Catholic Education in South Australia operates within the Archdiocese of Adelaide and the Diocese of Port Pirie to meet the needs of families who choose an education based on Christian principles in the Catholic tradition. The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides strategic and operational support services to our School Communities.
About the role
The ICT team is responsible for the delivery and management of ICT infrastructure and services (TECHNOLOGY) for schools (metropolitan and regional) and the Catholic Education Offices within Catholic Education South Australia (CESA).
We are embarking on an exciting period of change and development for ICT including the establishment of team lead positions. The lead positions will ensure the highest quality delivery of service desk and infrastructure management is provided through their team of technical specialists.
We are seeking a team lead responsible for supporting a number of schools within the regional area including St Mark's College, Port Pirie and Caritas College, Port Augusta. The role will require regular travel amongst the regional schools in particular, between St Mark's College, and Caritas College, Port Augusta. Ideally the position will be located at St Mark's College in Port Pirie, however this may be negotiable.
Key outcomes of the role include:
- ensure the team provides TECHNOLOGY services to the agreed service delivery standards;
- support all relevant resources to implement endorsed ICT strategies, plans and services;
- oversee the implementation and support for adopted TECHNOLOGY eg. server infrastructure, networking, unified communications, Microsoft products, Apple products and end user devices;
- effective management of team resourcing;
- maintain expected practices in the management of data and infrastructure across CESA, e.g. back-up and redundancy processes;
- maintain expected security practices and controls across TECHNOLOGY resources under management;
- provision of advice for school leaders and the team on TECHNOLOGY as required;
- regular reporting on team deliverables and KPIs.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- significant demonstrated ICT experience involving complete and disparate TECHNOLOGY environments, including specialist expertise in one or more of the following: United Communications, Microsoft Products, Office 365, Apple;
- experience in managing a team delivering ICT enabled business solutions;
- proven achievement in project delivery, particularly related to infrastructure design and deployment
- experience in effective ICT performance monitoring, tuning and continual improvement;
- experience in developing systems and operational documentation;
- a commitment to supporting the Catholic ethos of Catholic Education in South Australia;
- high level of integrity, credibility and ability to maintain confidentiality;
- high level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work proactively with key stakeholders at all levels.
To be considered for the role it is essential that the applicant has significant experience in ICT service delivery within a medium to large organisation, ideally you will have team leadership experience or show through your experiences that you are ready to move to a leader role. Tertiary and the relevant industry qualifications are required, experience within an education system environment, whilst not essential will be highly regarded.
