Our client requires a P8/AIX PowerHA Delivery Manager to be part of a Delivery Services team providing support to projects with the delivery of infrastructure which includes both internal teams and external vendors  
 
The Role:

• Be the primary point of contact for project Delivery Managers and application teams (internal or external) to assist with problem determination when moving to new infrastructure
• Assist application teams with understanding and defining infrastructure requirements
• Resolve infrastructure issues to enable systems to operate within the approved standards and architecture
• Manage defects through to resolution while producing regular and accurate defect reports and escalate issues with defects, application teams, builds, etc. as required

P8/AIX PowerHA Delivery Manager:
 
The Project is upgrading an application and the underlying infrastructure platform based on the IBM P8 AIX platform in PowerHA configuration. The project requires a resource to assist the project to ensure the infrastructure design is fit for purpose and to manage the delivery of the configuration of the platform to this design. Requires a person with in-depth AIX and PowerHA skills and the ability to:

• Verify and amend detailed infrastructure designs
• Ensure as-built environments matches design (QA)
• Manage the implement of technical changes as required
• Design and configure infrastructure integrations with middleware and applications.

Specific technology skills and experience

• Track record of delivering infrastructure (virtualised and physical)
• In depth understanding and experience with the design and implementation of IBM P8 AIX systems with Power HA 
• Ability to manage vendors to meet Project quality and schedule requirements
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and focus on inspecting and validating deliverables
• Attitude of a constructive and positive problem solver
