Overview

The aim of the Technical consultant will be to provide high quality and responsive technical support and guidance to the Product team, as well as existing and prospective clients.

Role & Responsibilities

• Technical consulting on APIs (this may include attending client workshops / meetings to discuss benefit and use of APIs, including offering best practice solution design using Link APIs, fielding direct enquiries from clients and their development partners or 3rd parties such as insurers, over email and phone)
• Consulting on both Link and client projects that being built out using APIs (must be able to talk to ideal design and integration of APIs, current capabilities and future state initiatives)
• Development support for queries and issues relating to APIs
• Support clients during their UAT (debugging, troubleshooting) 
• Production support for API related issues, including liaising with internal teams and external clients and triaging as necessary to other teams
• Integration of UI applications with APIs
• Maintain and communicate API release notes both internally and to clients
• Writing and maintaining other API documentation as required
• Providing updates internally and externally on planned and unplanned outages to APIs
• API Account provisioning
• Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to channel partners and internal stakeholders
• Work with Product Management to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products
• Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting to Product Team and clients, including usage for invoicing, errors, etc
• Semonstrate Link Group API products effectively to audiences of varied technical knowledge

The Ideal Candidate

• 4+ years’ experience in development team environment
• Strong experience with the following technologies
• Either .NET or Java
• RESTful APIs / WCF Web Services
• SWAGGER and RAML
• Developing experience with the following methodologies and technologies
• OAuth2 / Open ID Connect / SAML2
• MuleSoft Anypoint platform
• Desirable experience with the following methodologies and technologies
• Angular2 and/or React
• JavaScript / jQuery / CSS
• Financial Services experience preferred (Superannuation, Registry, Wealth Management)  
• Organised and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
• Ability to cope under pressure and prioritise work accordingly
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must present well due to high amount of client contact
• Autonomous and able to work with clients directly with minimal or no supervision
