Senior Project Manager, Applications

FinXL are looking to engage a Senior Project Manager for business and consulting services for one of our high-profile NSW Government clients, an initial six (6) month engagement where extensions are very likely.
The Project Manager is accountable for the delivery of applications and software projects and is responsible for leading a cross functional team within IT Domains (Architects, System Analysts, Developers, Testers, Build & Release Engineers etc.) to deliver projects on time and on budget. Excellent communications skills are mandatory for this role. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate stand-out leadership skills and will have previously managed cross-functional teams to deliver projects and programs.
The successful applicant will manage a team of designers, developers, testers, vendors etc. and be responsible for driving programs/projects on-time, on-budget a dynamic internal environment. The candidate must have experience in operating within a world of rapid & constant change, and be experienced in delivering products driven by user-stories and multiple product iterations.
Skills and Experience required
- Strong Project Management skills, specifically around Time, Scope, Quality, Risk - Governance really important
- 5+ years of Program/Project management for medium to large application development projects
- 5+ years of experience in software development and delivery of large complex software projects such as portals, mobile billing, integration, and digital applications
- Experience delivering large scale projects using vendors
- 5+ years of experience doing financial management
- Strong Stakeholder Management skills
- IT Project Delivery using Waterfall, Agile & SDLC Methodology
