About the role:

Here at Opal Aged Care, we are in search of an IT Application Administrator to join our Corporate Head Office in the Sydney CBD, on a full-time, 6 month contract basis with the potential for the role to be made permanent.

We are currently in the early phases of an exciting project that will help our employees do their work more efficiently and will improve the services to our residents. We are looking for a self–starter with a strong passion for making a difference around them and improving the way work gets done.  

The key purpose of this role is to assist with successfully delivering new and upgraded software application systems, establish and enforce standardised processes relating to the use of Opal Aged Care’s software application systems and ensure data integrity within those application systems.  


Key responsibilities:

  • Work to establish secure and reliable information in the source systems and the management reporting systems.
  • Establishing and enforcing standardised processes relating to the use of the management reporting and finance systems.
  • Monitoring and maintenance of the systems.
  • Ensure data integrity within the systems.
  • Manage the resolution of application incidents and outages.
  • Liaise with vendors to resolve application incidents and problems.
  • Identify areas for process and productivity improvements.
  • Assist with routine procedures associated with the management reporting and finance systems and other aspects of the project and system rollout.
  • Assist with end user training during the implementation phase.
What we look for:  
  • Appropriate IT tertiary qualifications (university qualifications preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years systems administration experience.
  • Experience working with Applications and Finance Systems.
  • Strong technical ability.
  • A passion for process improvement and the ability to identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A keen team and cross-functional project contributor.
All applicants must be willing to obtain a police clearance certificate via Opal's police check system and undergo pre-employment medical. You may also be required to attend a drug screen and complete psychometric testing.
