CommBank has recently implemented a new payroll system and as part of the implementation, a full system wide review of CBA’s pay elements, employee entitlements and benefits is being undertaken. 

As a Technical Business Analyst – Project Bundaberg, your role will provide Data Analytics support across the program of work your role will be critical in enabling the project to digest large quantities of data and enable accurate project outcomes.

The primary role will involve working with a broad range of HR data sets to feed evaluation, modelling and testing as required by the project.

You will support the team with:

• Developing technical expertise in various data technologies, such as the reporting and analytics framework.
• Building strong, strategic relationships with key Project stakeholders.
• Partnering with HR process owners to understand the data being used by the Project.
• Implementing and driving data interrogation methodologies to resolve payroll queries being addressed by the project.
• Responsible for collaborating with clients to identify, define, and clarify technical requirements; translating business needs into efficient automated reports and configurations that conform to best practices.
• Identifying, analysing and interpreting trends or patterns for large data sets.
• Uncovering process gaps and work with cross-functional teams to formulate plans to improve system performance and reliability.
• Designing queries, extracting and transforming large data sets.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have

• A University Degree or Masters in a numerate discipline such as Maths, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Solid experience working in HR and HR Operations with knowledge of all core HR business processes.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups including senior management, HR Business Partners, HRIT and HR Operations.
• Requirements gathering, system design, process mapping, testing and deployment of IT solutions.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• SQL and/or MS Access experience required.
• Experience with Oracle Peoplesoft payroll desired.
