We are looking for an experienced QA Analyst join our team. The ideal candidate will have both a manual and automated QA test background in a media environment. The role will work with the QA manager, other QA testers, developers, designers, business analysts, project managers and product owners to deliver products and value on a continual basis.
 
The QA team at Nine works in collaboration with the development teams and is responsible for end-to-end testing to deliver the highest quality websites, mobile, and connected devices apps. Nine's vision is to be the technology innovator in media, driving the transformation of Nine to an integrated media company and path the way for the broader media market. Role Responsibilities

• Execute test strategy for multiplatform video products as well as 9’s traditional websites
• Contribute to the sign-off of releases including being a gatekeeper for product quality and user experience
• Responsible for end-to-end systems testing
• Coordinate testing documentation as required
• Work closely with product managers to define efficient test plans
• Support and help any junior members of the QA team when required
• Work in a cross-functional delivery team
• Highlight and escalate potential blockers or showstopper issues to QA Manager
• Other duties as reasonably required.

Essential experience & skills

• Computer Science degree or equivalent
• Experience in testing a high impact / user facing product
• Deep understanding of web fundamentals
• Experience with SSO implementations on a cross functional product
• Efficient QA coverage with the following tools eg. Charles / Fiddler / Jira / Litmus /Test Rail
• Knowledge and understanding of issues around delivering video online
• Strong understanding of responsive web technologies.
• Responsive website testing across desktop browsers and devices (iOS & Android
• Experience testing native apps on a multitude of device
• Enquiring mind with the ability to research, question and think outside the box
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with non-technical staff
• Passionate about learning new technologies and frameworks
• Displays a commitment to quality and a thorough approach to the work

Desirable experience & skills

• Familiarity with Broadcast Video Products on Connected Devices
• Some familiarity with, Javascript, HTML, CSS and scripting languages
• Experience in newsletters (EDMS)
• Experience in Selenium webdriver with node js
