Your role

As a leading law firm it is vital that we have appropriate information technology infrastructure to ensure that the firm is operating smoothly so we can best serve our clients and employees. To support this objective, we are currently looking for a Systems & Network Engineer to support and maintain the technology infrastructure for all MinterEllison offices globally.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and support the day to day operations of the business
  • Take ownership of calls and follow up to ensure effective resolution
  • Perform the role of technical resource for project related work
  • Provide 3rd level support for Desktop and Helpdesk teams
  • Providing after-hours support with participation in an on-call roster
  • Producing quality documentation and ensuring it remains up to date
  • Following the correct ITIL processes for incident, change and problem management.
  • Where required be available for after-hours maintenance and project related work.

What you need

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • 1 to 2 years in a similar role or 3 to 5 years' experience in a 2nd level support role
  • Experience with administering, installing & supporting Cisco networking / voice technologies
  • Experience in managing and supporting server & storage infrastructure using Microsoft; VMWare and Citrix
  • Certifications in Cisco or Microsoft would be seen as beneficial
  • Ability to communicate well with people at all levels of IT knowledge in a way that promotes professionalism and good working relationships
  • Must be a self-starter and demonstrate the willingness and ability to work with minimal supervision to achieve high quality results
  • Excellent organisational, time management skills, written/verbal communication skills, attention to detail
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with cloud technologies in the area of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) using Azure or AWS would be seen as beneficial

Furthermore you will need to have a "can do" attitude, fantastic communication skills and a commitment to excellent and responsive customer service. You will also need to be able to handle pressure, multitask and think laterally but sensibly at all times.
