We are recruiting for a Technology Specialist (TS) who is the primary interface for the CFT into Lexmark’s development and technical resources. The TS works with the CFT and the customer to link the technical capabilities of Lexmark’s core hardware and software offers to business environments and systems.  The TS is a key resource during pre-sales and implementation phases of hardware rollouts.

·       Technical Special Product Requests (SPR)

·       Integration Plan, Machine Configurations, Configuration Testing and Deployment Plans

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Provides pre-sales technical support to Corporate Account Managers (CAMs), Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Consultants in Diamond, Strategic and Growth Accounts.

·       Assistance with placement and configuration of SEED/CEP units

·       Responsible for the implementation of “Proof of Concept” and “Pilot” solutions based on criteria provided by CFT and Customer.

·       Consult with Customer as Subject Matter Expert, providing insight into potential solutions that create value and improve the Customer business performance

·       Responsible for product installations execution of a Statement of Work (SoW) for a single large account and/or multiple complex small accounts.  Customer Print Environments can vary from hundreds to thousands of installed devices

·       Develop and conduct key and end user training for device and applications that facilitate change management and usability of valued functions 

·       Responsible to build and grow a high trust relationship with key contacts within the Customer environment

·       Participates within CFT to develop proposals, detailed Statements of Work and RFP responses   

·       Demonstrates discipline in following standard practices and develops or enhances practices as needed by the Customer or Lexmark. 

·       Maintain sufficient dialogue with Customer key technical contacts to understand priority business initiatives.

·       Promote the value of the Customer / Lexmark relationship within the Customer, Lexmark and all third-party organizations

·       Proactive administration of Lexmark Solution Centre to ensure all solution demonstrations are functional and in line with the country’s offer strategy

·       Acts as primary contact and point person for technical information and issue resolution, for presales activities as it relates to a specific Customer site

·       Provide Escalation Support during implementation and BAU when TSC is unable to address issues quickly

·       A recognized strong team player known for consistent delivery of quality services

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:

WORK HISTORY:

·       Experience with managing multiple complex projects; preferably with multi-disciplined teams

·       Significant experience interacting with and presenting to industry leading customers

·       Experience with application deployment through the use of remote technologies

·       Strong technical background with a minimum of five (5) years Systems experience

TECHNICAL COMPETENCE:

·       Specialization in one or more output disciplines is desirable e.g. copier technologies, colour reprographics, distributed printing etc. Specific Lexmark product expertise is essential at a detailed level e.g. Forms, LDSS. A good understanding of topologies and operating environments is also desired.

·       Excellent skills in MS Office Suite including, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.  Working knowledge and MS office suite basic skills are required

·       Basic knowledge of software driver implementation

·       Strong knowledge of IP schemas and network protocols.  Basic knowledge of networking security

·       Demonstrated ability to apply a systematic approach to problem solving through analysis of the problem and evaluation of alternative solutions

·       Ability to think creatively and apply innovative approaches to business problems and opportunities.

·       Experience in documenting current and future state business/operations processes

·       Strong teaching skills, ability to present and demonstrate complex procedures to diverse groups

EDUCATION:

·       BA/BS degree in Business, Science or equivalent experience

·       English language proficiency  

·       ITIL certification preferred

·       MCSE, MCP and CDIA+. preferred
