An exciting opportunity exists to help with our growing IT needs for an experienced IT support engineer.

About the role

As an IT Support Officer (Level 2+), you will report to our IT Manager to provide first rate tech support for our company. 

You are:

Experienced: You bring at least 3 years' experience supporting Windows 10 clients, Office 365, MS server 2008, AD and Exchange on premises.  You will also be maintaining some of our in-house software and will setup/troubleshoot IT hardware such as Printers, Phones/Tablets, Desktops, and Laptops. VOIP, VMware & Synology experience would be an advantage but is not essential. 
 

A fixer: You love to tinker and figure out how things work; you readily take ownership of anything that plugs in. We have a large amount of technical equipment that sometimes provides new challenges with the way it interfaces with our network.  You will be able to help figure things out when they go wrong.
 

A communicator: You communicate easily and are comfortable with collaborating with employees who have varying degrees of computer literacy, addressing their needs using your friendly manner.
 

Agile: You can quickly change course when priorities shift, or when new initiatives or concepts are introduced into your daily work.
 

You will: 

  • Anticipate, Identify, diagnose, and resolve reported issues in computer hardware and software such as laptops and PCs, as reported by employees.
  • Install and upgrade hardware and software. You will provide complete assistance while configuring hardware, software, and peripherals of the end user systems.
  • Provide general desktop support, project coordination, imaging/re-imaging of PCs, and laptops.
  • Autonomously and proactively resolve network related issues such as local area connection problems, network access, emails, internet, etc…
  • Provide assistance with the installation of peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.), cabling systems such as local area network cables, network interface cards, wired switches, etc…
  • Scope, plan, implement and evaluate projects specific to maintaining and enhancing our business IT infrastructure.
  • Have proficiency in supporting: Microsoft Server 2008 | Office 365 | AD | VOIP, VMWare & Synology (advantage but not essential)
