We are looking for an experienced, motivated and professional Technical Business Analyst/Data Analyst to come join a fast growing and dynamic organisation.
 
The Technical Business Analyst / Data Analyst will conduct the analysis of the business and client requirements with respect to outputs from the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). Working with the rest of the EDW team to own the full development lifecycle, including on-going support of the Production environment.
 
Key Responsibilities: 

• Apply your deep knowledge of the Insurance and Wealth industry to ensure that requirements for reporting / analytical capabilities from the EDW are prepared within a commercial context.
• Support BAU enquiries about EDW data and reports.
• Engage proactively with business units to clarify and understand business rules and gaps.
• Develop and execute scripts in Microsoft SQL Server to identify and verify data errors, gaps and inconsistencies.
• Employ your understanding of policy administration systems and the data lineage through to the EDW to resolve data issues as they arise.
• Contribute to development of reports through BI tools, e.g. SSRS and Power BI

 
 
To be successful in this role, you will have: 
 

• Degree in business / economics and/or IT preferable
• 3- 5 years' experience in data warehouse development and data analysis is highly regarded.
• Life Insurance / Wealth Management industry experience a plus.
• Junior Actuarial Analysts are welcome.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Deep understanding of data flows and processing logic employed by administration systems
• Sound understanding of data warehouse concepts, and database modelling.
• T-SQL coding - experience developing stored procedures to handle complex transformations
• Excel
• Willingness to train in Microsoft SQL Server stack (incl. SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) and Data Visualisation Tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau)
• Strong Written and Verbal communication skills
• Stakeholder & Client interaction
