We are currently working with one of the largest Privately-Owned Service Providers based in Macquarie Park. Looking for a Level 2 Network Engineer, who will be focused around new projects and BAU work. This role will provide support across routers and switches, WAN/LAN and firewalls.
This is an exciting opportunity as it will be part of the new services division of the organisation and you have an opportunity influence how successful they are moving forward. This role will be based in Macquarie Park and will be initially 6 months with a view to go permanent.
- Provide Level 2 support across Networking issues and technologies such as routers and switches, WAN/LAN and firewalls
- Support Pre-Sales Enterprise and Solution Architects in developing solutions and estimates
- Develop as-built and handover to BAU documentation
- Liaise with vendors, service providers and internal stakeholders to execute technical change
- Work with customers and stakeholders to document technical requirements
Key Skills
- Strong Communication skills and experience working at an MSP
- Demonstrable time management skills, exemplary communication skills and ability to self-manage.
- Expert level skills in one or more of the following key vendor areas CISCO Route Switch, Juniper, CISCO datacentre, CISCO UCS, CISCO WaaS, Meraki, HP Aruba, Palo Alto, ASA, Checkpoint.
- Ability to learn new product updates and technologies
- Ability to communicate appropriately with client technical and executive staff
- Solid experience in IT, concentrating on network engineering and project delivery
- Knowledge of Cisco ISR4321, iBGP routes, HSRP, cisco router baud rates, cisco router password recoveries and iBGP routes
