My client is embarking on a major digital transformation across the Asia Pacific - at the center of that transformation is the build and deployment of a market leading digital commerce platform. 

Within the role, you will be working within a team - delivering a cutting-edge platform across multiple countries. 

Working with the latest in Java, Dev-Ops, micro-services, this is a challenging and rewarding environment and is a unique opportunity to be involved and shape from the ground up in an exciting business with big ambitions. 

Key accountabilities and responsibilities: 

* Understanding business requirements and acceptance criteria in the form of user stories 
* Assessing the complexity of user stories as part of the Scrum process 
* Translating user stories into functional applications 
* Designing, building and maintaining efficient, reusable and reliable code 
* Identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems 
* Delivering work products within the allocated timescale 
* Driving regression tests when writing code 
* Completing Unit and Integration testing of work products in line with agreed processes 
* Providing third line application support as required, in line with agreed SLA's and in compliance with the defined support process 
* Helping to maintain code quality, organization, and automatization 

For this exciting opportunity, you will need: 

* 3+ years of experience with Java and its ecosystems 
* Solid understanding of object-oriented programming 
* Familiar with various design and architectural patterns 
* Skill for writing reusable Java libraries 
* Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful 
* Familiarity with Java GUI frameworks 
* Experience with Agile/Scrum way of working 
* Experience with JIRA/Confluence/Jenkins 
* Excellent communication skills & great interpersonal skills.
