ResearchMaster Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Database Consultants Australia (DCA), is the leading provider of research management software (RME6) to Universities and Research Centres across Australia and New Zealand.
Due to continued market growth, an opportunity has arisen for a client-focused Project Manager to join our team to play a pivotal function in rolling-out our RME6 solution to our clients.
The software is an adaptable ‘out of the box’ system that can be configured to suit clients’ requirements. The average project span can be 1 – 2 years and there is a real focus on understanding the clients’ business requirements as thoroughly as possible.
In this role, you will be managing implementations for new clients, as well as upgrades for existing clients, with the focus on relationship-building and strong project and implementation management. You will use your talents as a listener, negotiator, delegator, consultant and planner, while maintaining overall responsibility for the outcomes.
To be successful, you will need to be IT savvy to the point of understanding how IT systems fit into a business, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to translate technical jargon into plain English for non-technically minded clients.
You will also need experience in Project Management, preferably within a smaller software vendor/business environment. Key to your success will be your initiative, resilience, diplomacy, ability to take responsibility and willingness to be hands-on.
