We are seeking a high-energy Business Analyst to join our growing team. The position will work directly with senior management, ensuring they have the data and information required to make critical business decisions. You will gather and analyse data, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations. 

About the Role

You'll report to the Global Chief Executive Officer and utilize your strong financial and modelling skills, to effectively articulate with all levels of the organization. As the Business Analyst, you will have an interest in business operations to help inform and drive corporate strategic initiatives within strict deadlines. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Working closely with the Global CEO you will undertake the following responsibilities in an autonomous manner:

• Manage the Corporate P&Ls, including forecasting, variance analysis and ad hoc reporting
• Undertake a detailed analysis of management reporting, with a focus on key operating ratios and work with the business units to improve revenue growth and overall profitability
• Lead in-depth analysis of trends and forecasts that will assist in operational decision-making across the company
• Partner with functional and business unit leaders to drive business planning and investment decisions
• Evaluate expansion strategies and make recommendations to executive teams, helping to define product and pricing strategies
• Assist the management team with market research, acquisition due diligence, and or integration activities
• Build complex financial models to help better understand business trends and to assist in business planning
• Work on benchmarking projects focused on sharing, implementing and measuring best practices across Jonas companies 

Skills & Experience

As a Business Analyst we require you to have the following:

• Attained a Bachelor within the disciplines of Business/Economics/Finance degree
• Minimum of 2 – 4 years’ experience working within information technology or advisory firm
• Highly numerate and naturally skilled in identifying and analysing trends
• Skilled in analysing data, developing reports and presenting recommendations
• Highly skilled in using high-level functions of Excel
• Able to navigate finance-related software programs
• High-quality decision making and problem-solving skills with the ability to grasp the new concept quickly while dealing with ambiguity and imperfect data
• Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task between various on-going responsibilities to meet established deadlines
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills with the confidence and polish to speak with business owners, senior executives and external professional firms
• There will be travel involved (locally, interstate and internationally)
