IPSec is Australia’s most complete end-to-end information security and cyber defence services company, providing information asset protection outcomes to some of Australia’s largest and most important medium and large tier organisations.  With one of the largest independent teams of information security specialist professionals, IPSec is positioned at the very cutting edge of Australia’s intellectual property and privacy defence industry.

IPSec is seeking an experienced business development professional, to work with our highly experienced sales and marketing team, to help us bring IPSec’s cyber defence and privacy protection capabilities to Australian organisations.

The Role

As a member of IPSec’s business development team you will be responsible for developing, qualifying, and closing opportunities across IPSec’s solution portfolio.  You will work independently and with the IPSec team to seek out new opportunities, working with IPSec’s team of cyber security experts to bring the IPSec suite of solutions and services to prospective clients.

IPSec’s primary focus is on Australia’s mid and large tier organisations, so this role will ideally suit an individual who enjoys working building strong, long term relationships with sub-enterprise clients.  If you enjoy building one-on-one relationships with key decision makers and influencers within your clients then this role is perfect for you.

This is a permanent full-time role based in IPSec’s Melbourne offices.

Responsibilities

The candidate fulfilling this role, will have the following primary responsibilities:

  • Proactively seek and identify opportunities to grow the business with new and existing clients.
  • Follow-up and qualify leads from enquiries, marketing campaigns, and other activities.
  • Assist prospective clients to understand the IPSec value proposition.
  • Obtain a detailed understanding of prospective client and opportunity requirements.
  • Develop and deliver solution and service proposals and tender responses fulfilling the requirements of identified opportunities.
  • Conduct contract negotiations and execution.
  • Close opportunities to achieve agreed KPI’s.
  • Maintain relationships and a positive engagement experience with clients.
  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date with IPSec’s solutions, services, and capabilities.
  • Maintain accurate records within IPSec’s CRM and other tools of all activities.
  • Pre-event calling and post-even follow up.
  • Contribute ideas and experience to the IPSec sales process.

Reward

Package: $200,00 per annum OTE (uncapped commissions) + Superannuation

Selection Criteria

Applicants for this role should meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an ability to rapidly establish rapport with prospects.
  • Demonstrable success in a similar role.
  • Experience and referenceable successful track record in achieve business development KPI’s (including execution of sales, development of sales pipeline, and opportunity prospecting).
  • Be process oriented and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Be highly motivated, driven, and results oriented – with the ability to exceed agreed KPI’s.
  • Have excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Have experience in developing and submitting tender responses.
  • Work well with highly technical people addressing extremely dynamic environments.
  • Be experienced with the use of CRM systems.
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
  • Have completed secondary schooling.
