IT Analyst
Our client, Midway Limited, is an established ASX listed corporation whose primary business is the purchasing, processing, marketing and exporting of woodfibre. Located in Geelong they are seeking a full-time IT Analyst to provide technical support across the organisation. Reporting to the IT Manager, key duties for this new position include;
- Providing first line support to ensure the effective and efficient performance of all hardware, software and network infrastructure ensuring minimal downtime for all users
- Providing timely and effective services to employees in ensuring each users unique needs are met
- Supporting the technical requirements for all operational areas including network infrastructure, ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV), the Microsoft Office suite and all other specific Company IT applications & infrastructure, relative to the industry i.e.: Weighbridge and woodchipping technology
- Configuration and support for all new IT hardware and software requirements
- Tracking the performance of company IT requirements and procurement of upgraded technology according to budget
- Training company users in ensuring effective transfer of knowledge and understanding of programs
- Supporting the implementation of plans and initiatives regarding new software requirements
- Coordinating the escalation of support to the appropriate resources where required
To be successful in this position you will be able to demonstrate high levels of customer service and ideally have had experience working in a similar position providing first level IT support. The role would suit a confident, well presented and highly enthusiastic IT Support professional who is seeking the next step in their career. Demonstration of strong organisational and analytical skills and well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Experience in Microsoft SQL Server, working with Business ERP Systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV), and programming skills in C/AL would be an advantage. A relevant qualification in IT whilst preferred is not essential.
