The Role

As a result of a departmental restructure, this newly created entry level role has become available within our IT Services team and is well suited to a recent school leaver or TAFE graduate with a strong interest in Information Technology. 

Your role encompasses administrative and monitoring duties with your primary objective to act as the first point of contact for internal customers and external support providers. The position is available for an immediate start though there is some flexibility on the commencement date for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as first point of contact for internal customer support;
  • Monitoring and logging support requests ensuring SLAs are being met;
  • Resolve tickets at First Point of Contact when possible;
  • Communicating to the business when IT services/systems are being affected;
  • Maintaining logs and providing appropriate information to auditors;
  • Escalating issues to appropriate IT team members;

To secure this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Genuine interest or previous experience in Information Technology;
  • Excellent customer service skills with an ability to empathise and prioritise customer needs;
  • Ability to learn new processes and operate technology such as printers, smartphones and tablets and AV Equipment;
  • Experience working with and supporting customers to meet or exceed their expectations;
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change;
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills;
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills;

You will be located at our Head office in Pemulwuy (Greystanes), however, may be required to travel locally or interstate to provide services and training from time to time.
