Dynamics AX Functional Analyst
Part of the Automotive Holdings Group (AHG), Scott's Refrigerated Freightways (Scott's) provide temperature controlled local and interstate transport services between all major capital cities in Australia by road and rail, along with cold storage and distribution services of fresh produce, meat, dairy, confectionery and manufactured foods within stringent HACCP, and local authority guidelines.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day support and development of the AX platform that underpins our operation. Working within the IT framework this role will work with the wider IT Group to ensure that a consistent method of operation exists within the group to support finance and transport functions. The Functional analyst will support the ERP environment. The role will ensure the appropriate coverage to ensure the ongoing technical stability of the ERP.
The role will have a strong knowledge of our current version of Dynamics AX and will work to maintain knowledge of the product roadmap to contribute to anticipated future upgrades to the system.
This is a full time role based in either our Homebush, Erskine Park or Prestons offices. We offer an attractive remuneration to the right candidate. This is a friendly, fast paced environment undergoing a significant business transformation.
This is a full function role with responsibilities for:
- Support & operation of key business systems, focusing on Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Investigating reported application issues by consultation with user groups;
- Develop process to support business operation
- Setting up and administering workflows
- Consulting with users on their requirements, redefining outcomes, implementation of the agreed plan and solution
- Developing and documenting functional requirements with business stakeholders
- Analysing business needs and implementing solutions as appropriate
- Perform unit and system tests;
- Providing end user system support and training;
- Providing and maintaining process documentation
The successful applicant will have:
- Bachelor's degree preferred & associated industry certifications.
- Experience across multiple AX modules - finance & logistics will be well regarded
- Formal certification in Microsoft Dynamics or significant commercial experience
- Experience in the logistics industry will be well regarded
- Ability to effectively communicate within the IT group and with the business
- Experience in setting up documentation to support ongoing operations
- Comfortable providing system training.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Business analyst with AX
- Strong, recent commercial experience in an AX Development role;
- Experience in operation of ERP systems specifically Dynamics AX
- Strong technical analysis skills and understanding of business applications
