Software Engineer - Control Systems

RMK Consulting Group provide maintenance and support services for the Water Corporation's SCADA assets in WA and due to the growth of the work we undertake we are now looking to engage an experienced Software Engineer for an initial term of 12 months with the potential of extension. 

We are preferably looking for an experienced Software Engineer who has a thirst for career development and who is looking for a role where they can build new skills across SCADA and operational technology in a very supportive environment.

The roles will suit an experienced Software engineer who is comfortable working in an office environment and in the future customer sites. It is important that the successful applicants have the desire to provide the best technical outcomes for the customer. After a reasonable period within the group it will also a requirement of the role to be on a rostered-on call system as the group provide 24/7 maintenance services.  

The successful candidate will join a team of  30 very experienced SCADA/Control Systems engineers and support staff who undertake a wide variety of interesting and challenging work with no two days the same.
  
The role is based at the Water Corporations Head Office in Leederville where you get to work as part of a very talented operational technology group.
  
 It is expected the successful applicants will have the following skills and qualifications:    

• 4+ years of software engineering/development experience;
• .Net/VBA/SQL experience
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or relevant/equivalent experience;
• An ability to quickly pick up new skills

 To be successful in the application candidates will need to be able to demonstrate that they pocess; 

• Excellent knowledge of software development principles, methodologies and tools
• Meticulous in design processes, including self-testing, technical and user documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong command of both written and verbal English
• Excellent all-round problem solving and analytical skills, with an eye for detail and a quality styled approach
