Due to growth and the expansion of our organisation’s websites, DriveAway is looking for a UI Designer to work with our IT and Marketing teams.

DriveAway Holidays is Australia’s leading self-drive specialist, providing domestic and international car and motorhome hire, as well as international motorcycle rentals & vehicle leasing.
We’re conveniently located in North Sydney, and our AU teams are supported by a global network of EU and US based specialists in their fields. We pride ourselves in maintaining an energetic, productive and happy work environment, where all our staff are highly valued for their skills and contributions. We’re looking for a bright and enthusiastic UI Designer that can work in a clever, progressive and collaborative team environment.
Core responsibilities include:
- Work on various creative and digital projects throughout the entire design life cycle from concept to delivery.
- Design concepts, websites, eDMs, online advertising and mobile sites.
- Design in the context of user experience.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Analyse, present and articulate visual design concepts.
- Work in collaboration with creative and marketing teams, as well as technical teams.
- Keep up to date on industry trends and design best practices.
- Learn to design for specific platforms and pre-established company guidelines.
Experience required:
- Strong familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator)
- Substantial HTML and CSS skills
- Wire Framing software experience (UI / UX)
- Proficiency in Visual Studio Code or similar software
- Demonstrable graphic design skills
- ECommerce design experience
- JavaScript skills
- Basic server-side skills and a willingness to learn more
- Strong folio of body of work
- Relevant industry training and qualifications
- A core understanding of the relationship between design and functionality for web
- 3 years in a similar role
