About our client.
Our client is a great organisation based in Mulgrave, in Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs. They are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will help build and manage a new web based system. 

About the role.
You will be responsible for working with the internal business stakeholders and technical project teams. You will gather business and functional requirements, and document and communicate these to an external software vendor. You will ensure that tasks are estimated and completed within the agreed timelines by the vendor. You will be the technical source of truth for the organisation, as there are no other developers or people in the organisation with strong coding skills or software knowledge. You will not spend all day writing code, but you will use your knowledge of C# and Microsoft technologies to make sure and external development team is meeting the business’s needs.
At times you will have to liaise with external agencies and regulatory bodies, to discuss your plans for testing, integration, security, etc.

About you. 
You will be a business focused technologist who can manage internal stakeholders and their high expectations whilst keeping an external software vendor honest. You will have clear written and verbal communication skills, and the commercial experience to manage and guide technology strategy.
You will be a Senior Software Engineer who has experience working closely with Web Applications, including UI/UX and databases.

Experience working in the finance, property or legal industries is required.
