Our Melbourne based client is expanding their security function across the business and is looking for a Network Security Engineer to join their team. Driving the growth of the security capacity, you will be responsible for looking after all aspects of network security for both BAU and projects. An outgoing and vibrant team, you will have an opportunity to implement help execute security strategy as well as review and recommend new security technologies.

Your background

• Minimum 3-5 years Networking & Systems Engineering
• Firewall configuration, implementation and support
• LDAP, IPSEC and related security protocols
• Exposure to SEIM, IDAM and data security
• LAN/WAN support
• Data Centre, security and network infrastructure management
• Load balancing, switching
• TCP/IP networks, and VPN
• Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server 

The role

• Providing project and BAU network support and advisory services
• Implementing required security technology
• Assisting to manage risk compliance profile
• Managing network security and intrusion detection
• General networking support, routing, switching
