About the Role:

As a technical ICT Project Manager you will be responsible for the project management, planning and delivery of:

  • finalising an MOE (managed operating environment) project; and
  • co-ordination of a Windows 10 rollout to 800+ users.

This is a hands on role where you will coordinate, communicate and report activities with stakeholders, delivery areas, technical contractors, subject matter experts and the project board.  You will also coordinate with 3rd party vendors for some aspects of support, develop work packages for 3rd parties and monitoring of said, and provide the change management aspects of the project, including communication with key stakeholders and key personnel at remote sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of complex projects ensuring that realistic project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained.
  • Monitor and control resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and manage expectations of all project stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage the successful completion of vendor selection for ICT Projects as required.
  • Develop, maintain and deliver PRINCE2 project management documentation for the project.
  • Prepare, communicate, action and monitor project planning schedules, testing schedules and take corrective action where necessary to ensure that business requirements are achieved within the set timeframes and budgetary constraints.
  • Identify, communicate, action and manage issues and risks for the project.
  • Prepare and deliver submissions and reports relating to planning and technical issues and identify appropriate mitigation strategies to overcome problems or obstacles related to the project/s.
  • Undertake regular project reporting to the project board.
  • Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and implement effective communication channels to promote the successful adoption of change within the business.
  • Prepare and/or organise the preparation of complex reports, briefing notes, presentations and correspondence.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Knowledge of ICT technologies including:

  • Windows 8.1 and Windows 10;
  • Windows Server (2008 onwards);
  • Group Policy and Active Directory;
  • Microsoft System Center 2016;
  • Security and firewall technology;
  • Virtualization (VMWare and Hyper-V);
  • Disaster recovery processes and technology; and
  • Supporting business continuity.
