We have a rare and exciting hybrid role based at Gepps Cross, South Australia. The role of Supplier Quality & Logistic Management Engineer (SQLM Engineer) will be responsible for leading the Pacific cluster supplier quality & logistic management. This role will be the primary representative of Schneider Electric to our panel of suppliers for quality related issues.
The key aim of this role will be to partner with the supplier panel taking them on a journey of improvement in performance. Whilst this role is initially designated as a fixed term contract there could be scope for the right person to transition into a permanent role in the APAC region in time
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Collaborative Planning, Lead Time Reduction etc.
- Leading deployment projects, increasing efficiency of the 8D process leveraging I2P, inventory reduction, shortage management
- Manage and deploy procurement strategy initiatives related to supplier quality& logistic development
- Drive continuous benchmarking vs. best in class as well as internal best practices sharing
- Ensure that all projects are subject to priority decision and regular review
- Champion supplier, Schneider Electric quality and logistic as per SSQM process
- Manage most complex and/or critical quality and logistic Supplier issues
- Support NPI activities at Supplier level and lead supplier quality and logistic audit
Success in this role will require the following attributes:
- You will have tertiary engineering qualifications with solid Lean 6 sigma experience - black belt certification is highly preferred.
- You will demonstrate extensive experience in quality and logistic function with activities related to suppliers and industrial process
- You will have exceptional communications and time management skills with strong stakeholder management
- Whilst you will be firm in your execution of standards you will be an enabler and be pragmatically minded and goal focused
- You will have a high level of computer literacy with specific strength in MS Excel at an advanced level, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook intermediate
