Our client is looking for a Field Engineer (Radio Communications) for a 12 month contract based in the CBD.

Essential criteria for this role:
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Communications Engineering or Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification that is recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a radio communications service environment.
  • Good understanding of communication systems and supporting sub systems such as microwave and power management.
  • Familiarity with digital conventional and trunked radio systems (TETRA/ASTRO25), IP architecture and networking (both wired and wireless).
  • Understanding of RF principles and antenna system multi-coupling.
  • Understanding how to use digital communications test equipment and interpret results such as modulation constellation or antenna sweep graphs.
  •  Excellent communications skills (verbal, written and presentation).
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on Total Customer Satisfaction.
  • Good planning and time management skills.
