Position Details
As a Project Design Manager you will be responsible for leading, managing and motivating the Project Design team ensuring strict control of operating and capital budgets and the generation of fee income and margin.
Some of the tasks you will be required to perform include:-
- Writing Design Brief and negotiating input with all internal stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining work programs in such a way as to ensure the most economic and effective use of resources and the completion of design projects in line with target timescales.
- Negotiating and conclude fees and contracts with consultants that reflect the full cost of the design and associated work involved within any project and provide a reasonable operating profit.
- Commission specialist design, survey and engineering services which cannot be delivered from within the Project Design team on a Value for Money basis, ensuring strict cost control and accountability.
- Review design submission, engage all internal stakeholders to provide consolidated comments and prompt feedback to consultants.
This role would suit someone with some experience in a similar role and managing a small team. Ideally you would also have property developer side experience, worked on multi-staged apartment complexes, and worked within a multi-cultural environment.
