The Opportunity
The continued growth of Urbis in Sydney means we are looking for a motivated and energised Planners to join our team. We are looking for a passionate and proactive team player seeking an opportunity to be involved in city-shaping projects for a diverse range of private and public-sector clients.

In response to the growing needs of our clients, we have recently established an office in Parramatta. As a result of this expansion, there may be also an opportunity on offer for the right person to join our team of Cityshapers in Western Sydney.

About You
As the Senior Planner your responsibilities will include:

• Providing advanced statutory and strategic urban planning principles and methods and the ability to apply them, including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans and the approval process and management
• Managing medium to large size projects including scoping, costing of projects and formulating tenders
• Maintaining and growing strong client relationships
• Supporting the delivery of strategic Planning projects and other national initiatives
• Nurturing and developing individual staff members, through effective coaching and mentoring;

As a Senior Consultant in Planning you will be expected to have at least 5 years of relevant experience and possess the following competencies:

• An expert understanding and application of town planning policies and strategies to a wide variety of projects.
• Demonstrated advanced project management skills by managing own projects and that of other team members within agreed timeframe and budget
• Demonstrated understanding and applies leverage, margin and productivity to enhance project profitability
• Relevant experience in a consultancy environment
