An exciting opportunity exists for a Graphic Designer to join the team at House & Garden. We are a privately owned South Australian retailer with a strong desire for growth. The Graphic Designers role will focus on the execution of the communications plan with a strong focus on updating and building Ecommerce and social networks.
About the role
This full-time role is focused on the timely execution of an agreed communications plan, store activity calendar, and ecommerce updates. Activating the plan across all parts of the business is the primary responsibility of the role. You can expect to be right in the middle of the day to day activities of the business. Using your Graphic Design skills, you will assist in the development of a communications plan that includes, In Store, Digital, Catalogue, TV, Social and Data Base activities. More specifically the responsibilities include:
- Activate all elements of the plan across the business
- Update products and content across platforms
- Work with external providers to develop digital content
- Work closely with and support our Buying Team
- Create packaging and assist with new product development
- Prepare key presentations for House & Garden Team Members
- Assist in the design and layout of new stores and refurbishments
- Work closely with and support our Store Managers.
About the Person:
- Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience in a Digital Marketing / Graphic Designer role
- Marketing or Graphic Design Degree
- Love of Ecommerce and Knowledge of Social Media platforms
- Experience in design, layouts, and image preparation
- Ability to produce content
- HTML/ CSS skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of the team
- High attention to detail and work ethic
- Knowledge of photography
- Willingness to learn new programs to assist with reporting
- Previous Retail experience is highly desirable
