The Company
Established in Sydney for over 12 years, we are working with a highly respected and recommended commercial fit out company that has had extensive experience in commercial fit-outs, refurbishments, design and construction throughout a cross section of industries from hospitality, retail, education and industrial.
With a focus and pride on providing genuine value to their customers, the team ensure a comprehensive understanding of client needs but deliver on a cohesive, high performing team approach, delivering on time and on budget.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain professional relationship with clients, super intendents and consultants
- Review scopes of work, design documentation and draft agreements
- Prepare and issue requests for fee proposals and prepare comparison spreadsheets
- Process Consultant progress claims in accordance with SOP act
- Review, approve and report on Consultant payments and variations
- Prepare Design Variations, claim schedules and design contact lists
- Work with your team on value engineering options
- Involves a hands-on approach to daily business that originates concept work in response to Client brief, manages Client expectations and directs or supervises the studio effort in assigning priorities for both individual project demand and the overall production effort for the business across Sydney and Brisbane.
- Manage and mentor the design team and value engineer projects, drive design team profitability and performance.
Experience Required
- Construction Management, Project Management or Architectural Degree
- Ideally 1 to 2 years-experience in a Design role with a commercial fit out business.
- You should be able to read and interpret plans at a very basic level, be able to manage document control processes with different computer programs and be able to have a basic understanding of technical construction methodologies and terminology.
