Set to open in late 2018, the Howard Smith Wharves (HSW) riverfront precinct will transform one of Brisbane's last working wharf precincts into a sustainable, dynamic world class tourism, recreation, entertainment and events destination where everyone can engage with the past, present and future of Brisbane city. Boasting stunning uninterrupted views of the iconic Story Bridge and city skyline, the location will feature several riverfront event spaces, a five star hotel, an array of chic restaurants and a craft brewery.

An exciting opportunity is now available for an independent and passionate Web & Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the role of Web & Graphic Designer is responsible for the design and roll out of all creative across all digital and print platforms, including the creation of new websites and collateral for an array of precinct products.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ability to create functional, user friendly and creative website designs in Wordpress or Squarespace
• Concept and produce quality graphics, layouts and finished art works across all business units.
• Working collaboratively in a small marketing team on all design projects including (but not limited to) brochures, presentations, EDM templates, websites, advertising and promotion material across both print and digital platforms.
• Interpreting job briefs from key stakeholders to determine key project requirements.
• Communicating with all internal and external stakeholders in an effective manner to ensure expectations are met.
• Multitasking across numerous design projects at any one time, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Advanced experience in using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Advanced skills in WordPress or Squarespace – creating blogs and websites.
• Advanced skills with EDM Platforms and creating email templates. (Campaign Monitor)
• An accredited qualification in Graphic Design.
• Proficiency in design concept creation
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the Marketing Team.
• High attention to detail and finish art.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organisational skills, with proven experience in managing a varied and high volume workload
• Proactive, motivated, innovative and a positive can do attitude
• Energy, enthusiasm and passion for design.
