ABOUT THE COMPANY.
An opportunity has arisen within a NSW Southern Regional Local Council for a Town Planner to join their team. This team continues to experience growth due to a strong project pipeline. Join this highly motivated team of 4 Town Planners on a permanent basis with a flexible working arrangements.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Town Planner you will be responsible for ensuring all project designs and specifications meet the Councils required standards. Reporting to the Planning & Building Manager, you will work on a variety of major developments ranging from low to high density residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.
DUTIES.
- Prepare proposals and reports
- Liaise with Clients and Stakeholders
- Draft and review planning proposals
- Assess DAs
- Provide technical advice on planning developments and issues
- NSW Degree qualifications in Town Planning (or related) is a must
- Proficient in the use of GIS and Microsoft Word
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous Local Council experience is highly advantageous
- Knowledge of Local Government and environmental legislation
