About the role.
Due to business growth, an exciting opportunity exists to join our National Design & Engineering team at the Altona plant. As a Mechanical or Industrial Designer, you will be responsible for daily tasks ranging from design concepts to engineered structures. Supporting the Engineering team your diverse range of duties will include:
- Design products for manufacture;
- Product development;
- Guiding team members;
- Engaging with estimators & project managers;
- Liaising with Structural Engineers; and
- Developing BOM's & work instructions for manufacture.
About you.
In order to achieve success in this role, we are seeking a motivated and experienced professional who encompasses the following skills and capabilities:
- Proficiency in Solidworks CAD package;
- Knowledge of building & construction methods & materials;
- Ability to work to project deadlines;
- Display strong communication skills;
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment;
- Willingness to learn and develop;
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator regarded, but not essential;
- Experience with ERP systems, will be an advantage; and
- Experience with signage, digital print, vinyl & LED illumination would also be advantageous.
With a minimum of two years' experience in a manufacturing environment, you will add value in this multi-faceted role through your positive and passionate nature, ensuring an innovative approach in your efforts, whilst being able to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
