A great opportunity has arisen within a leading surf brand. Our client is seeking a hands-on, creative Senior Designer who is able to design across a varied multi-product range encompassing swimwear, apparel and wetsuits across both Men's and Womenswear.

Working in a fast paced environment you will be responsible for creating highly commercial ranges that are aimed at Australia’s growing surf industry. This role would suit an innovative and skilled designer with previous experience designing swim and surfwear. Must have a strong apparel background with Photoshop and Illustrator skills.

The responsibilities include:

• Design process from concept through to finalised samples
• Identify and interpret key trends and set the creative direction for the brand
• Maintain high quality design standards
• Garment construction and technical knowledge
• Commercial product design and range building
• Communicating with all levels of the business
• Ensure on time quality ranges
• Source and develop new fabrics, trims and treatments for each season

To be successful for this role you will have:

• Strong industry experience within swim or surfwear
• Diploma or Degree in Design or related field
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Adobe, Photoshop, Illustrator and Excel skills
• Proven track record of high performance in a fashion business
• Fabric and raw material knowledge
• Ability to translate fashion trends into commercial design concepts
