Tasks

As a Planner, the position will include responsibility for:

-Independent management and cost-effective completion of a range of  Planning projects, encompassing:

• Preparation of Development Applications;
• Assessment of Development Applications (as an independent consultant to Local, State and Federal Government agencies);
• Preparation of rezoning applications & management of the rezoning process (including negotiation with local, state & federal agencies);
• Preparation of relevant studies for both public sector and institutional clients;
• Research projects for public and private sector clients related to social, economic and planning policy issues.

- Developing our existing client base and maintaining existing relationships with our  clients.

-General duties including:

• Maintain and enhance technical knowledge through literature research, membership of industry groups and informal liaison.
• Prepare documentation associated with statutory and strategic planning and approval processes;
• Evaluate and prepare regulatory reports on proposed and existing development projects.
• Manage a reasonable workload in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provision of face-to-face and telephone consultation with company clients.
• Represent the principles and strategy of the company at all times during professional tasks.
• Assist other staff and managers to carry out all reasonable consulting tasks with company business.
• Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude to the workplace, colleagues, clients and projects at all times.
