This thriving region of Victoria is known for its long-standing heritage, quaint villages and picturesque landscapes. The regional city boasts an excellent location in northern Victoria known as the gateway to Victoria’s leading gourmet wine and food district as well as many historic towns and nearby snowfields.
The council are now seeking a senior planner to join their team and assist with the growing number of planning applications.
Your new role
In your new role, you will:
- Assist in the registration and assessment of various town planning permit applications including housing, subdivisions, supermarkets, quarries and solar farms.
- Handle complex town planning enquiries and provide relevant, complete and up-to-date information in a timely manner.
- Mentor less experienced staff within the planning team and provide effective and comprehensive to the Statutory Planning Coordinator and the Manager of Planning and Building.
What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a tertiary qualification in urban planning or a related discipline with a minimum of 3 years planning experience in Victoria. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated planner with strong written and verbal communication skills.
