About the role

This position will ensure the continuance of our bridesmaid collections.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Extensively research creative ideas and present seasonal mood board, colours, fabrics and trims to Creative Director 
• Creating and producing designs by hand or using CAD
• Concepting range in line with brand's voice and cohesive to prior / future collections
• Working to fit all ranges and provide feedback and design changes to factories
• Allocate all styles to appropriate factories
• Development of samples from first fit to SMS
• Sourcing fabrics, trims and embellishments
• Prioritise workload and meet key deadlines and milestones with relation to the company critical path

Specific requirements:

• Ability to work well under pressure and in a collaborative team environment.
• Instinct for style and an eye for aesthetics.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and continually meet tight deadlines
• A fashion design degree from a recognised Australian or international institution
• Energetic and Enthusiastic attitude
• At least min 2-5 years experience as a Designer
• Advanced understanding of garment construction, fit and finishes  
• Experience using design programs such as CAD, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Excellent technical drawing ability
• Strong time management skills
