Position Summary - Duct Access CAD Drafter - 6 month contract

The role of the CAD Drafter is to accurately prepare clear and complete working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes from survey and design staff for various technology groups within the Customer Access Network (CAN).

What you’ll be doing:

• Ensure all quality processes and practices are implemented and followed.
• Ensure open, consistent and frequent communications with the team nationally.
• Ensure all communications are consistent, clear and informative
• Attend and participate in toolbox and prestart meetings when required, to provide guidance Tandem workforce.
• Coordinate and conduct audits (desktop) to standards and protocols when requested.
• Deliver agreed daily completion packs and other reports within stated timeframes.
• Prepare survey drawings for detailed design and Joint Completion Inspections
• Maintain and create CAD library and symbols.
• Organise and maintain AutoCAD files.
• Using AutoCAD generate electronic files of client networks, including but not limited to, floor plans, dimensioning, notes, elevation views, single-line drawings, cut sheets, photographs, site plans, bill of material/quantity, plotting/printing, binding etc.

What we're looking for:

• A high level of skill in AutoCAD and PDF editing software is recommended.
• Experience in relevant drafting will be highly regarded
• A high level of skill in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to read project briefs, plans and DBoR information.
• Demonstrated sound working knowledge of AutoCAD (Model Space & Paper Space) and general computer system competencies.
• High-level written, verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to coordinate and influence internal and external stakeholders.
• A high level of individual initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Creative problem-solving skills with a very positive attitude.
• Analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to constructively negotiate and resolve customer grievances or escalate accordingly.
