Dot Design Group is looking for a creative Senior Designer / Project Manager to join our Sydney team.

DDG is a market leading POS/product design and manufacturing agency with long standing, successful relationships with a list of global brands, taking pride in delivering creative solutions to drive sales and build brand values at the point of sale. Our approach combines Industrial Design with experience in Brand Marketing to deliver Innovative Product and Point Of Purchase.

The successful applicant should have a positive, enthusiastic attitude, a willingness to learn, be able to work well in a team and demonstrate a passion for design. They will bring well developed design skills including strong conceptual, 3D (SolidWorks) and model design skills as well as excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate his/her ideas targeted to a specific brief. Ability to take on multidimensional work, manage dynamic projects, demonstrate cross-functional liaisons and teamwork is critical to success.

Key Tasks:

The applicant will be responsible for their own projects from concept to delivery with full support from the head of design and innovations team where need be. Listed below are some key tasks, but are not limited to:

• Concept ideation and sketching resulting in high quality presentations
• CAD rendering and engineering in Keyshot and Solidworks respectively
• Quotations and estimating project timelines
• Production management, both local and offshore, QC and delivery
• Deliver creative solutions, on-time and on budget is essential
• Supporting junior designers where possible

Skills & Experience:

We would like to meet and consider for the role applicants with the following attributes:

• 5+ years experience in the POS & Retail Industry
• A tertiary qualification in Industrial Design
• Advanced knowledge in Solidworks, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
• Exceptional time management, sketching and presentation skills
• Proven success record in designing, detailing and engineering for manufacture
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Creative thinking, strong attention to detail and a passion for good design
• Willingness to work autonomously and also with a team to achieve goals
• Injection moulding design experience is also plus
