We are currently seeking a talented Senior Technical Designer to join our Melbourne studio. You’ll be leading the technical design team and be the go-to person for project documentation structure, technical advice, coordination and overall quality control of documentation for the studio.
You'll be reviewing drawings, documenting interiors projects and contributing to the overall project development, working closely with both the Design and Delivery team.
What you’ll do:
- You'll be responsible for:
- Producing accurate design documentation, specifications and schedules
- Managing your own time to meet deadlines
- Coordination with technical and services consultants plus local authorities
- Mentoring designers and enjoy sharing knowledge to advance their careers
The required skills, experience and knowledge you’ll bring to the table:
- Extensive Revit experience leading documentation teams with experience in modelling and BIM.
- Very good 3D skills (required)
- Demonstrated Technical detailing, specifications, schedules, etc
- Proficient with sketches/visualisation as a communication tool
- Flexible and adaptable team player
- Workplace/Office experience
- Understand the complete construction process
- Mastery of Australian building codes, DDA compliance, authority approval process
- Experience on a variety of project sizes and complexities
Other beneficial skills, experience and knowledge:
- Undertaken architectural studies
- Many years site experience
- An understanding of Software and IT
- Experience with VR or AR software
