Based in our Melbourne CBD Office our Urban Infrastructure – Civil Commercial & Defence team are seeking an experienced Civil 3D/12D Designer. The primary focus of this role will be to providing accurate and efficient design services to a variety of projects and clients.

The Opportunity

• Participate in the delivery of projects and ensure output is of a high standard and within time and cost budget allocations
• Working in an established team of 15 Engineers, Designers and Draftspersons
• Civil engineering design in Commercial, Municipal and Defence market areas. Including roadworks, streetscapes, car parks, stormwater drainage and asset assessment projects using Civil 3D or 12D and AutoCAD
• Preparation of conceptual and formal design drawings in accordance with statutory requirements and standards
• Managing deliverables of a project including quality control and the coordination of drafting staff
• Providing input to the continuous improvement of our design and drafting standards
• Working on multi-discipline projects and coordination with internal and external consulting teams
• Involvement in project / client meetings, and confirming design intent during the construction stage
• Ensuring client expectations are met and exceeded

  
To be successful

• Minimum three to five years demonstrated design/drafting experience within a consulting environment
• Experience or Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering will be beneficial
• Demonstrated experience using design software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D and / or 12D
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
• A commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development
